A Christ-centered, missional church …

Welcome Pastor Kip Murphy!
A new pastor has been called and elected. Pastor Kip Murphy will be the new pastor at FPCHS.  Kip will lead our worship service on May 17. We would like to ask you to continue to pray the following prayer during this time of transition:
Dear God, Thank you for bringing us Kip Murphy as Your choice for our new pastor. Now, we ask that you be with Pastor Kip, Lee and their family, friends and church as they go through this transition. Please prepare our hearts for his ministry to us. In Jesus’ Name we ask this. Amen.
  Sunday, April 26
Rev. Homer Nye will lead us in worship. Homer grew up in Galion, Ohio, and in 1966 graduated from Ohio University with a degree in chemistry. He then attended Pittsburgh Theological Seminary receiving a MTh in 1970 and a DMin in 1980. His first call was as a youth minister at The First Presbyterian Church of Farmington Hills, Michigan. He served there from 1970 to 1977 when he accepted a call to become pastor of The Presbyterian Church in Traverse City, Michigan.  After thirty-three years, he retired from Traverse City in 2010.  He is married to Rebecca Mang. Together they have four daughters. Becky and Homer enjoy traveling, gardening, camping, and reading.

Prayers Needed?
Do you know someone who you would like to be added to our prayer list or who needs a visitation? Please let them know first, and then call the office (526-7332). We will ask for the correct name spelling and any other information that they would like to be shared with our Deacons. Stephen Ministers are also available to support these needs.
